Established in 2005 as IPL-Intelligent Projects Logistics, our company initially focused on connecting international building materials suppliers with the MENA region through expert logistics and delivery services. During the financial crisis of 2008, some of our clients faced financial challenges, resulting in disruptions in payments for shipping and delivery services. To support our clients during this difficult period, we proactively adjusted our business model to accept materials in exchange for our services. By facilitating the sale of these materials in the MENA region, we not only maintained our partnerships with our clients but also emerged as a significant client for our international suppliers by selling their products through our robust connections and network in the MENA region.

This innovative approach of exchanging services or materials without monetary transactions aligns with the French term "barater" reflecting the essence of our new business model. Consequently, we rebranded our company to Barater to signify our dedication to adaptability, resilience, and client-centric solutions in the face of challenges.
